Summer Bummer

So the first week of summer has officially passed by.

Damn, it's boring. I mean, last Monday was fun because I got to ride a Penny board for the first time...I'm not that good at it but I've never ridden any board before so don't judge me. And then Tuesday was cool because I got to ride the Penny board again and this time, I actually curved and did not stumble off of it. I also tried Quiznos for the first time.

The following days were pretty uneventful aside from the Karpos Wanderland 2013 announcement of the acts that would be there. I kind of got bummed out because the only bands I really liked in the lineup were The Temper Trap, Neon Trees, Up Dharma Down, and She's Only Sixteen. I found myself liking the other international bands in the lineup but I wasn't really jumping up and down to get me excited about Wanderland.

Sadly, I have not taken any pictures with the film camera because there isn't anything to take pictures of. I haven't even loaded the camera with my film yet. Bummer, right?

Fortunately, I spent last Sunday with the family. Wearing a new spring/summer dress that my sister got me, we went to church (Palm Sunday, folks) and then the mall after. Aside from feeling...er, pretty, I felt super happy after finding It's Kind Of A Funny Story by Ned Vizzini in Fully Booked (will review this book in another post) because I don't see it in bookstores all that much.

Also, I heard Taking Over Me by Lawson for the first time on the radio and that's always nice to hear. (I haven't blogged about it yet but I have a really great summer playlist that consists of Lawson, Two Door Cinema Club, and Paramore songs! It's only the start of summer but the 9 songs on the playlist are a really great start to this list of songs.)

Don't get me wrong. I'm not DREADING this summer. It's just pretty boring so far but I'm really hoping for a fun summer. Of course, I have review classes for college entrance exams but that's like 3 days a week and it's always just half-day.

All I'm trying to say is that I'm really wishing for awesome stuff a.k.a new clothes (lol), new books, new...stuff. And lots of pictures. And days out with my friends!

'Til the next post, crabs!

  1. I absolutely understand how you feel - I've been bored ever since my summer started, although it's sometimes fun that I get to hang out with my friends and drink tea, draw or write but I don't know - I'm yearning for adventure this summer and nothing interesting is really happening just yet.

Anyways, hope you can find something that would help you enjoy your summer! :D
