Upon looking at Twitter and Youtube, I noticed that a bunch of my favorite Youtubers (PJ, Alfie, Jack, etc.) all liked this video called "Girls on Youtube" which was an episode of Becoming Youtube by ninebrassmonkeys. It intrigued me because 1. I'm a girl and 2. Ooh, Youtube. I was wondering what it meant. Girls on Youtube? Fangirls? Or Youtubers?
I decided to watch the video because, why not, right? I mean, all I have tomorrow is my last CHEMISTRY long test. No big deal.
ANYWAY...I watched it and it being an episode of Becoming Youtube, it was definitely and obviously awesome. Talk about female empowerment! I love hearing my favorite Youtubers be real and talk about the truth because we get to see how these people really feel and think towards such matters.
The main point of the video was that there aren't enough female Youtubers (vloggers, especially). Most female vloggers are make-up gurus and based on the video, these male vloggers would LOVE for more female vloggers. And this got me thinking....
You all know how much I love Youtube but I don't think I've ever said it on this particular blog how much I've wanted to BE a Youtuber/Youtube star...because I have. I really want to do it, I just never had the guts nor the camera because as much as I think I should start as like a newb to Youtube, I'm not and I don't wanna start with a webcam (I'm picky that way). AND HERE'S MY CHANCE. Sort of. All these amazing people are actually looking for female vloggers and I actually want to be one. I mean, I'll obviously be invisible for a while but I still want to give it a go. And I might not even just vlog. I might do covers, too. Who knows? Not me, hehe.
I'm not telling you all that I will be putting up a channel soon because I still don't have a camera but I definitely would not mind support or advice or suggestions or anything that will help me with this possible Youtube "career".
Above is the video. Enjoy!
